Attention New & Returning Hospitals
Annual updates to our Hospital Certification Program are available as of 1/6/23. Review the Certification Navigation menu links regarding our new application and management platform, updated certification manual and guides, and resources to support certification applications and maintenance.
Note: Certified Hospital Portal will be discontinued on 2/28/23
The first step toward certification requires the review of the Cribs for Kids’ Infant Safe Sleep Certification Manual. The Certification Manual illustrates comprehensive criteria and requirements for implementation & reporting. This guides efforts to achieve and maintain each level of the Infant Safe Sleep Certification. Criteria have been established according to 2022 AAP evidence-based policies, policy statements, reports, and consultation with medical experts from the AAP Safe Sleep Task Force.

Some new practices are not required to be demonstrated until 1/2024. These items will be indicated by the icon to the left.
