The Breath of Life Stroll is an annual event hosted by Cribs for Kids to bring awareness of infant safe sleep practices. Each year, families who have experienced the loss of a baby are joined by safe sleep advocates across the country to walk together in honor of infants who have passed on from sleep-related causes and to raise awareness of the life-saving infant safe sleep message.
This event serves as the primary fundraiser of Cribs for Kids. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised by the participants go back into programs such as our National Public Safety Initiative, our National Hospital Certification Program, and our crib distribution program which provides thousands of portable cribs to families in need each year.
In 2020, the Breath of Life Stroll was launched as a national, virtual event. Since then it has grown to be an anticipated event amongst our 1,800 Cribs for Kids Partners who form Stroll Teams to fund the distribution of safe, free cribs in their local communities.

If you are a Cribs for Kids Partner organization, we invite you to walk with us throughout Safe Sleep Awareness month in October and raise money for safe sleeping environments. The funds raised by your team during the Virtual Stroll or via your in-person Breath of Life Stroll will be deposited into your Cribs for Kids Partner Store account, directly supporting the members of your own community.

IN-PERSON KICK-OFF CELEBRATION
On October 1, 2022, to celebrate where the Breath of Life Stroll began, we will have a kick-off event at our Headquarters in Pittsburgh, so that our Pittsburgh participants can enjoy food and fun, enjoy a day together, and participate in the Breath of Life Remembrance Ceremony.
