LA Family Housing

LA Family Housing (LAFH) helps people transition out of homelessness and poverty through a continuum of housing enriched with supportive services. Our vision is to be a regional leader providing solutions to homelessness in people’s lives.

Our partnership with Cribs for Kids benefits the homeless families we serve as well as partner agencies in our community. As the lead agency of the Coordinated Entry System for Families, LAFH can facilitate safe-sleep education among our region-wide partner network during ongoing case conferences. The partnership allows LAFH to provide cribs for the families we serve with infant children. Although it is our policy to never let a family with a child sleep on the street for a single night, cribs will benefit families moving immediately into crisis housing, including our own shelters and scattered-site motels, as temporary interventions on the path to permanent housing.

B’More for Healthy Babies

In Baltimore City, more babies are living to see their first birthday because they are sleeping safely. The B’More for Healthy Babies Initiative has helped reduced infant sleep related deaths by 40% since our program began in 2010. But we know that many families are still experiencing the tragedy of losing a baby during sleep.

Our goal is to make sure that no parent has to endure this pain. We have mobilized community members all over the city to speak about our program – at school and in church, in the barber shop and on the street. We believe that every baby deserves a safe place to sleep. Your support can help make that happen by making sure that every family in Baltimore has access to a safe crib. Please donate to Baltimore’s program today.

Cowlitz County Coroner’s Office

The money donated will be used to purchase cribs for those families  with infants that are unable to purchase one themselves, in order to help prevent unfortunate child deaths.
